The Tower

Coloured pencils is not really my specialty. Work is for one of my drawing classes... and it's taking forever but I'm a perfectionist and want this to really turn out well though I'm not sure whether I'm heading in the right direction with this. Highly experimental. I really look forward to having this completed and out of the way....it's a work in a progress and will post a complete drawing once it's done.

Hands and feet

An often neglected part of figure drawing, hands and feet tend to be ignored when considering the mass conception of the human figure. Having said that, I had a tendency to not give that much attention to it, but have worked towards building up this weakness over the past year. Here's basic construction of hands and feet. Was for a class project but it was good motivation to demonstrate what I've learnt

Delicious fruit

Painting fruit is always a fun still life subject, there's always a delicacy to the surface and texture of each fruit you paint. The banana was admittedly pretty boring as it had simple surface planes and colour variation is obviously limited. I think the next still life study might be a few onions, always a challenging one to take on.
